Zotac Zbox Mini PC Feature

Zotac Zbox Mini PC Feature The Computex 2011 held in Taiwan showcased a lot of new and interesting devices that may be coming into the market sometime this year or the next. As manufacturers aim to capture public interest, they are providing some unique and interesting products that might just make it big by becoming small. You might get the idea if you get to see this new Zotac Zbox Mini PC.

However, I also have a deep appreciation for the Mac mini. There's a simple beauty in the mini's styling and an elegance to its minimalist approach to, well, everything. Apple's bite-sized Mac isn't a lot of computer, but it's enough for what most average users actually do with their systems on a day-to-day basis. The mini's modest components draw little power and get by with quiet cooling, and the whole thing can be squeezed into a svelte enclosure with a tiny footprint.

The fact is that most people only need a little bit of PC. Even in my own home, there are certain rooms in which I want an unobtrusive PC but don't require anything special. Filling those needs with a Mac mini is an expensive proposition when the base model starts at $700, though.

The dual-core CPU inside the new Mini-PC will be offered in two versions with one running at 1.2GHz and another that runs at a faster 1.6GHz speed. Both of the processors offer native 64-bit support and are pin-to-pin compatible with VIA Nano, C7, C7-M, and Eden processors for future upgrades. The little machine is very compact measuring in at 12 x 12 x 4cm. That compact size will make the machine very easy to fit into a cramped entertainment center.

Zotac Zbox Mini-PC Specifications
• Intel Atom D525 (dual-core) (1.8 GHz)
• Next-Generation Nvidia Ion with 512MB dedicated DDR3 graphics memory
• 2 x 200-pin DDR2 SO-DIMM slots (ID34 comes fitted with 1x2GB DDR2-800 DIMM)
• One Gigabit Ethernet socket
• 802.11n Wi-Fi
• Digital optical sound output and 3.5mm headphone and microphone jacks
• Two USB 3 ports
• One powered eSATA port (doubles as one USB 2 port)
• Two USB 2 ports
• 6-in-1 card reader (MMC/SD/SDHC/MS/MS Pro/xD)
• One dual-link DVI port and one HDMI port with HDCP and 8-channel digital
• One 2.5" hard drive slot (ID34 comes with a 250GB pre-fitted)
• Blu-ray drive with 4x read, 8x DVD read and 24x CD read/write.

Samsung SENS-240 Navigation Tablet Feature

Samsung SENS-240 Navigation Tablet Feature Samsung has a large line of Android smartphones and tablets that have turned out to be quite popular with Android users. The company has unveiled a new product today called the Hybrid Tablet with the SENS-240. The devices are made to work in coordination with one of the Samsung Android smartphones or tablets. The SENS-240 is a car navigation system that can connect to a normal phone using Bluetooth.

Everybody knows the drill if you want the convenience of being able to perform general purpose computing tasks while on the move, you go for a device such as a smartphone or a tablet. On the other hand, if you only want a device to perform a very specific task, you get a specialized gadget that does its designated task properly. However, leave it to Samsung to do what no other OEM has done: to release a tablet device that, instead of being the general purpose device it is intended to be, is designed to serve only one purpose: navigation. Such is the nature of Samsung's new SENS-240 navigational tablet, which was reportedly launched in Korea today.

The SENS-240 runs on a 1.43GHz processor, with a 7″ display (800 x 480), 256MB of RAM, it has a USB 2.0 port and an SD Card slot. It is capable of displaying 3D maps to help you get where you want to go, and when you don’t need GPS help or your backseat passengers want some entertainment, you can put some videos or music on to keep them happy.

Finally Samsung also allow your Smartphone or Tablet to be used as an “advance” remote control with a dedicated UI to control your SENS-240 video, audio and other features including SNS ones when you are not driving and what to relax while stuck in a traffic jam for example.

Logitech's 720p TV Cam review

Logitech's 720p TV Cam review |Logitech has outed its latest webcam, the Logitech TV Cam for Skype, a $149.99 peripheral that turns your Skype-supporting HDTV into a video conferencing system. Initially only supporting certain Panasonic 2011 sets, Logitech says it is working with other TV manufacturers to broaden support for the 720p HD video camera.

Forget chatting over the PC; that's totally 2010. With this, you'll be able to have the whole family gather 'round in order to speak to whoever is on the other end. You'll find Carl Zeiss optics, Logitech's Fluid Crystal technology, a 78-degree wide-angle lens and a pair of directional microphones. Once the Logitech TV Cam for Skype is plugged in, you can make TV-to-TV Skype calls, as well as TV-to-PC or Mac calls and vice versa. You can also make video calls from the Logitech TV Cam for Skype to select iPhone and smartphones with Skype mobile, but you'll need a broadband connection in your home to really take advantage. The accessory should ship this month for $149.99; definitely not cheap, but at least it's 720p.

“You shouldn’t have to wait for the holidays, a special occasion or summer vacation to see distant friends and family,” said Joerg Tewes, vice president and general manager of Logitech’s consumer video division. “We believe making a video call to loved ones should be easy and natural. We welcomed the opportunity to work closely with respected brands such as Panasonic and Skype to make it possible for more people in more households to connect with one another from the comfort of their living room.”

Logitech Vid HD takes on Skype The camera will work with a new calling client called Logitech Vid HD which will be featured as a channel on the new Revue set-top box, but will work with any Mac and PC running the program.
The camera, judging from pictures shot at the event, appears to be much larger than your average webcam and also has a neat little LED light which will inform users when they have missed a call.

China unveils space station this in 2020

China unveils space station this in 2020| China's been making its mark on the world for years, but there's still one massive piece of real estate where the country's citizens haven't hung their ubiquitous red flag: space. The China Manned Space Engineering Office hopes to change that within the next decade, however, unveiling a model of its first space station on Monday.

Officials have asked the public to suggest names and symbols for the unit and for a cargo spacecraft that will serve it.Professor Jiang Guohua, from the China Astronaut Research and Training Centre, said the facility would be designed to last for around a decade and support three astronauts working on microgravity science, space radiation biology and astronomy.

China’s rendezvous and docking (RVD) project is the next goal of China’s manned space program, said Jiang Guohua, a professor and chief engineer at the China Astronaut Research and Training Center in Beijing.

Jiang outlined China’s space station efforts here at the 15th annual International Space University symposium, titled The International Space Station: Maximizing the Return from Extended Operations.

The Tiangong design is designed for short tasks or limited overnight stays in a pressurized shirtsleeve environment, while the heavier Chinese stations planned for several years from now will be for longer term habitation.
In addition to the manned program, the Chinese unmanned program has also reached a major milestone with the Chang'e lunar orbiter.

in 2010-2011, before the rover and sample return missions are flown a Chinese-technology mission may be sent to the Moon to further demonstrate landing technologies. But the Chinese were not clear on whether it would go all the way to the surface.

Nexus S 4G Price $200

Nexus S 4G Price $200 | Earlier this year, Samsung and Google launched the first ever phone running Gingerbread, known as Nexus S. You've been able to pre-order the Sprint-ified version of the Nexus S for a good while now, but it's always good to add a concrete date for the end of the anticipation and the beginning of the Android 2.3 fun. That date has now been officially marked as May 8th.

Starting off with the dimensions, the HTC Evo 3D comes in a little larger and weighs more (170g vs 130g) than the Nexus S 4G. This could be due to its larger display and the 3D hardware (has dual-cameras on the rear). Design wise however it has an elegant metal body compared to the more plastic looking Sprint Nexus S 4G.
Moving on to the display, the HTC EVO 3D packs a 4.3-inch 540x960 SLCD versus the Nexus S with a smaller 4-inch 480x800 Super AMOLED.

Both are capacitive but the HTC Evo 3D packs a 3D capable Parallax barrier. Now the Super AMOLED display on the Nexus S 4G is reportedly better when it comes to displaying deeper blacks and is more battery friendly (but the HTC EVO 3D tries to compensate for needing the extra juice by stuffing in a larger battery i.e. 1730mAh vs 1500mAh).

As the name implies, this phone also has Sprint's 4G WiMAX, which should give the phone download speeds of 3-8Mbps in about a third of the United States. The phone also works on Sprint's 3G CDMA network and has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, working as a 3G or 4G mobile hotspot for up to five devices. There's 16GB of memory on board.

Sprint's press release for the Nexus S also heavily promotes Google Voice, Google's system for using one phone number across multiple devices and the Web.

This version of the Nexus S will run on Sprint’s WiMax 4G network, and will cost $200 with a two-year contract and Sprint’s “Everything Data” subscription plan. The phone is currently available for pre-order at Best Buy stores only.

Nintendo launch Wii Successor For 2012

Today in Japan, Nintendo confirmed the upcoming release of the Wii's successor. The still-unnamed console will be revealed at this year's E3 gaming expo in Los Angeles in June. The new console will go on sale in 2012, said Nintendo in an official statement.

As of March, Nintendo has sold 86.01 million Wiis since 2006 when the console was launched. However, in 2010 the company sold only 15.1 million Wiis globally -- a 25% drop from 2009 when it sold 20.1 million units.

The news comes from the company's Japanese investor relations website, following months of speculation and supposed information leaks. The most recent of which, the "Screen Stream" controllers, would have players viewing a quarter of a 1080p display on their controller for an improved multiplayer experience. Other rumours include a price point of $400, support for 1080p and stereoscopic 3D, and graphics surpassing that of the Xbox 360 and PS3. Graphical capabilities have long been considered a weak point of the Wii, so this rumour comes as no surprise.

Speculation surrounding the new console has been scattershot at best. Some say it will be named the Stream. Some say it will have a triple-core PowerPC CPU. Some say it will natively output 1080p video. Some say its controllers will have their own screens, and will be able to emulate consoles. For all we know, it could be called the Stig (though I may be thinking of Top Gear in that case).

The company noted that a tough comparison to its December 2009 record U.S. sales were a primary reason for the year-on-year decline in revenues, as well as the appreciation of the yen and the price reduction of the Nintendo DS during the fiscal year.

Looking forward to the 2012 fiscal year, Nintendo noted that "the aftermath of the Great East Japan Earthquake is unpredictable. Nintendo has not suffered any direct damage which will significantly affect our production".

AT&T Novatel MiFi 2372 Review

AT&T Novatel MiFi 2372 Review creates a WiFi hotspot where and when you need it. Get work done at home, in the car or camper, or at the ballgame. The Novatel MiFi 2372 lets you surf wirelessly on your laptop or WiFi enabled device anywhere a cellular connection is available. With speeds equivalant to a broadband connection available at the touch of a button, you can download files, watch videos, or play games just as if you were actually at home or the office.

The Novatel MiFi 2372 lets you keep important files backed up and ready with a built in microSDHC slot capable up to 16GB.

Welcome to the MiFi revolution, AT&T. Seemingly sick of being left behind by its competition, AT&T has introduced its customers to the wonders of MiFi, a mobile hotspot reminiscient of a hockey puck that allows you to connect up to 5 devices wirelessly to AT&T’s data network all at once.
All of this may seem laughable, considering 2 other MiFi devices were announced at CES a few weeks ago that offer access to 4G speeds on both Sprint’s and Verizon’s networks; the brand-new AT&T MiFi, also known as the Novatel 2372, is only capable of HSDPA 7.2 Mbps speeds.

The MiFi DLNA Server enables seamless access to digital content on DLNA-compatible DVD and Blu-ray players, game consoles, televisions, tablets, mobile devices, computers, audio video systems, digital frames, home theater devices and more. The MiFi DLNA server makes it easy to share both user-generated and syndicated digital content without complicated configuration and without having to copy, move and synch media files on multiple devices.According to ABI Research there were more than 440 million DLNA Certified devices already installed in users’ homes at the end of 2010. ABI Research estimates there will be nearly two billion DLNA Certified devices in homes worldwide by 2014.

Nokia W7 and W8 Feature

Nokia W7 and W8 Feature Nokia made a short appearance at MIX'11 yesterday and with the increased enthusiasm Marco Argenti (head of developer experience at Nokia) showed, it would seem that Nokia are really steaming ahead with the planning and early development stages of their WP7 adoption.

International mobile phone botherer Eldar Mrtazin has had a quick bit of hands on time with the two prototype handsets, the Nokia W7 and Nokia W8. The W7 is apparently based on the Nokia X7 hardware, while the W8 is essentially a Nokia N8 body with Windows Phone software.

The W7 is thought to be the first handset to be available and is currently being used for in-house development. It is also claimed this will have an 8-megapixel shooter with autofocus and flash. Eldar reckons the W7 reminded him of the HTC Mozart, and without out much change to the OS.

He also claims that Nokia were planning around a dozen Windows Phone handsets for launch in 2012, but there is plenty of time for this to increase. Murtazin has also commented that Nokia plans are changing each week. The W8 which is loosely based on the N8 will feature a 12-megapixel camera.

The third model that is under development will have a QWERTY keyboard slider, a touchscreen and a metal shell. Very little else is known about this device. Finally, there will also be a fourth model that will be a cheaper version of the W7. This will be a budget or entry level phone that will have similar specs as the W7, but made with lower quality materials.

HTC Sensation 3.0 UI and Android 2.3.3 Review

HTC Sensation comes with a fresh serving of Android 2.3 Gingerbread, but it's all about the HTC Sense UI version 3.0 with a touch of refinement and functionality straight from the lock screen. You can choose between a number of lock screen options such as weather updates, quick access to apps and a handful of clock widgets. A 1.2GHz Qualcomm dual-core chipset supports the nice 3D-like transitions in the menu, all carrying resemblance to the ones on the HTC Flyer tablet.

The HTC Sensation features HSPA/WCDMA connectivity, and also Bluetooth 3.0 and 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, plus A-GPS, a gyro sensor, G-sensor, a proximity sensor and a digital compass. It comes with two cameras, a VGA camera on the front for video chat and an 8 megapixel camera on the back with built in autofocus and a dual LED flash.

The unibody sculpting of the device is in keeping with a number of other handsets in the HTC range - it's most reminiscent of the Mozart, with the multiple section feel on the back. The whole rear actually detaches leaving only the battery and the screen together, with the antennas all plugged into the battery cover.

The HTC Sensation weighs a shade under 150g, which is pretty hefty by today's standards given that a number of handsets push more towards the 110-120g level. It's also a little thicker at 11.3mm than the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S2 (at 8.7mm) and the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc (at 8.5mm), but given the rounded edges, it's not much of a problem.

The HTC Sensation is a smartphone that is built from the ground up for a sophisticated, evolved multimedia experience. The 4.3″ widescreen display means that users can watch movies like they were meant to be seen – in their full cinematic glory, with no cropping or letterboxing. The HTC Sensation is also the first smartphone to feature HTC Watch – an application and service that puts an entire library of the latest, premium movies and TV shows right at your fingertips, letting people discover the latest video content in an easy and visually engaging way.

T-Mobile G2X Price $200

T-Mobile G2x is rumored to be the American brother of the LG Optimus 2X. There probably won't be much difference between the LG Optimus 2X and the T-Mobile G2x. Both should have Tegra 2 dual-processors, 1.3 and 8MP front and rear facing cameras respectively, with HD 1080p video capture.

The G2x is T-Mobile’s version of the LG Optimus 2X, so it features the same exact hardware as the global version. Highlights of the G2x include a Tegra 2 mobile processor with dual-core CPU, 4-inch WVGA display, 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash and autofocus, front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera, 8 GB internal storage, 512 MB RAM, and support for T-Mobile’s 4G HSPA+ network.

The G2x also actually mirrors its interface out its HDMI port, which could be very exciting. Most phones with TV out ports restrict them to only a few apps, either out of lazy programming or because content owners are terrified about letting you play Netflix from your phone onto your TV. The G2x doesn't play Netflix - no Android phone does - but T-Mobile told me it will stream games, Web pages, and its full UI over onto a TV. Tragically, content-owner restrictions are still possible here - T-Mobile's streaming "T-Mobile TV" service is forbidden from showing on TVs.
Sadly, neither device is 4G.

Both are HSPA+ 14.4, a sort of intermediate level between 3G and 4G. Confusingly, T-Mobile calls both devices 4G, but they've also said that networks slower than HSPA+ 21 aren't 4G. I'm going to stick on the "not 4G" side of this debate and say that I got download speeds around 3-4Mbps in quick speed tests of the two devices.

Digital Camera Nikon D5100 deals

Digital Camera Nikon D5100 deals has recently introduced its latest midrange DSLR, making it ideal for the aspiring photographers who want to let go of their beginner cameras. The Nikon D5100 is an updated version of the popular D5000, featuring a 16.2-megapixel sensor, a 3-inch flipout LCD screen, 1080p video recording at both 30 and 24 fps with auto-focus, ISO settings from 100 to 6400, and an 18-105mm lens.

Nikon went Canon on us and tossed a 3-inch Vari-angle LCD screen on the new D5100. We're fans of the Vari-angle persuasion, and the D5100's flexible monitor will offer 921,000 pixels and a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, which matches the D7000. The Nikon D5100 actually has a leg up over the Nikon D7000 because of this versatile screen, though the D7000 has 100% viewfinder coverage while the D5100 hangs around the 96-97% range. The Nikon D5100 is definitely more compact than the D7000 and does not feature as many external controls.

Although the Nikon D5100 will ship with the AF-S DX Zoom-NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR lens if you opt for the kit, the camera body is compatible with all NIKKOR AF-S lenses, or any lens with F mounts. Nikon also unleashed the ME-1 microphone, which can mount on the D5100's hot shoe and connect via the 3.5mm Mic jack. The ME-1 will retail for $180, so we hope its sound quality is a significant boost over Nikon's built-in microphones.

Digital Camera Nikon D5100 Specs of this model include a 16.2 megapixel sensor, a flipout display screen, 1080p video recording at 24fps, 25fps, or 30fps, continuous autofocus, 3-inch diagonal screen with a 920k-dot resolution.Price tag reads $800 for the body only. DSLR with an 18-55mm VR kit lens costs $900.

The Nokia Astound Launch Price $79.99

The Nokia Astound Launch Price $79.99 also known as the Nokia C7, could be T-Mobile's best feature phone. Never mind that it's a smartphone; it makes more sense if you ignore that it's a smartphone. The phone appears to have a great camera, terrific GPS, a pretty good music player and just enough apps that you'll be able to find some games you like.

Today, both companies announced that the Nokia Astound will be available from T-Mobile starting April 6 for $79.99 with a two-year contract. The Astound is basically a rebranded version of the C7, which was introduced back in October 2010, and features the same sleek design, a 3.5-inch AMOLED touch screen, a rear-facing 8-megapixel camera capable of 720p HD video capture, and a front-facing camera for video calls.

The Astound sports an 8-megapixel camera with HD video capture, a 3.5-inch AMOLED display, and 8GB of memory. Note: Out of all the phones I review, I still hold that Nokia phones have some of the best cameras. I didn't really get a chance to play with the Astound's snapper other than a few pictures in a dark bar, but what I shot looked pretty decent.

T-Mobile customers will have access to the world’s most comprehensive location experience, Ovi Maps, with free turn-by-turn drive and walk navigation in almost 100 countries worldwide and a cool app within called ‘Own Voice’ which lets you personalize that nagging voice telling you where to go! And let’s not forget the real-time traffic information, safety camera alerts, speed limit warnings and visibility of parking and service stations that can help get you to your destination smoothly.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play Feature

The Sony Ericsson Feature marketing gurus renamed it the Xperia Play when it finally went official at MWC this year, but the PlayStation connection remains as strong as ever. Aside from the D-pad, iconic game keys, and two touchpads, this device comes with a little app named PlayStation Pocket, which will be serving up dollops of classic PlayStation One gaming to all those with a taste for it.

The Xperia Play is powered by Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It features a slide-out panel containing the Sony gaming D-pad (for in-game direction control) on the left side, the four symbol-etched game control buttons on the right, and a set of circular touchpads in the middle, which act like analog joysticks for operating certain games. The phone packs a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, and the display is a 4-inch Bravia (480 by 854 pixels FWVGA) touchscreen with an Adreno GPU graphics processor inside.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play looks like a really nifty mobile that will deliver some serious gaming kicks. Our main reservation is that the slide-out keyboard makes the phone slightly bulky. But we're not too worried -- it's still a fairly light and portable phone. We also think the Play's success will be largely dependent on the games available -- it needs some really killer titles to give it that must-have quality.

The arrival of PlayStation Suite means there will undoubtedly be a few more gaming-based phones from Sony Ericsson in the next year or so. That slightly takes the sheen off the Play -- you might be wise to hold off and see if Sony releases some other incredible device right after the Play. Nevertheless, as Sony Ericsson's first proper foray into the mobile-gaming market, the Play looks very promising.

Samsung Series 3DTVs Price 950 Review

Samsung prices 950 Series 3DTVs displays from Samsung, from their pre-CES tease where we were first told they were TVs, then monitors, then it turned out they were monitors with optional TV tuners through their official launch and now to their first pricing and availability. South Korea is the unsurprising debut market for the 950 and 750 Series, both 27-inchers, discernible by their design, which in the 950's case is asymmetric and in the 750's is all about the thin bezel. With built-in Ethernet connection and wireless-ready capabilities, the 2010 Samsung 3D TV lineup is ready to meet the growing consumer demand for “content without borders.”

The upgraded Internet@TV feature now includes Samsung Apps with an expanded, easy to navigate selection of content and applications from leading services like The Associated Press, Blockbuster, Fashion TV, Netflix and YouTube amongst others. Applications can be downloaded and viewed all while watching TV.

The AllShare feature in the Samsung 3D TVs allows users to wirelessly connect their TV with compatible mobile devices which means that users can share movies, photos and music through a single device – the Samsung 3D TV. . the 27TA950 reportedly costs 890,000 KRW (nearly $800) whereas the 27TA750 is an 840,000 KRW outlay (just over $750). Not exactly value models, but those prices will likely change when the pair go international at some point later this month.

Review Windows Phone new UI and Xbox games

Review Windows Phone new UI and Xbox games In search for feedback on its momentous decision to dump Symbian in favor of Windows Phone, Nokia has put up the above poll on its Conversations website canvassing opinions about what users anticipate most out of the new deal.

While the New Xbox Experience provides a pleasant enough front-end for gaming--the Xbox 360 is still a game console, after all--much of the new functionality seems to be focused on non-gaming entertainment. The UI offers Netflix instant streaming for subscribers of that service, virtual parties with up to seven friends, customizable and cartoonish avatars that represent your online persona, and access to over 12,000 movies and TV shows via Xbox Live Marketplace.

The new avatars borrow heavily from the Mii characters in Nintendo's popular Wii console, which lacks the hardware muscle of the 360 but has outsold the competition at an alarming rate. For example, Microsoft is touting that it will sell 25 million Xbox 360s by the end of 2008, a number that outperforms total sales of the first generation Xbox. But Nintendo sold 35 million Wiis by the end of September, and it's been on the market for a year less than the 360.

Android 3.0 SDK review

The full SDK for Android 3.0 is available to developers and now they can start making apps for the tablet-oriented OS. The new APIs are ready and integrated and the SDK Tools are now at version r13.

The APIs are final, and the developers are free to create apps targeting Honeycomb and publish them on the Android Market.

The SDK comes just in time as one of the first Android 3.0-sporting tablets, the Motorola Xoom, hits stores tomorrow. It may not have Flash just yet, but at least users will be able to enjoy some new, Android 3.0-specific apps on their shiny new tablet.

New connectivity options include the ability to sync media files with a desktop computer or USB-connected camera. Users will also be able to connect a full keyboard either by USB or Bluetooth. Devices can now share network connections with the new Bluetooth tethering support.

Most of the native Android apps have received updates as well. The Browser now support the “incognito” mode found in Chrome, the Camera app has been redesigned to take advantage of the larger screen, Contacts now features a new two-pane UI to make organization easier, and the Email app also has a new two-pane UI to make things more efficient.

Developer features available in Android 3.0 include a new UI Framework for creating tablet apps, high-performance 2D and 3D graphics, support for multicore processor architectures, rich multimedia and connectivity, and enhancements for enterprise.

Verizon Motorola Xoom Price at $600

Verizon Motorola Xoom Price at $600

If Best Buy’s $800 price for Motorola’s Xoom the company’s powerful Android 3.0 tablet seems too big a pill to swallow, maybe you’ll find it a bit easier with Verizon’s 24-month data plan, which lowers the price of the device to $600.
Of course, it means you’ll have to pay at least $20 per month for 1G of 3G data, which increases the overall cost considerably. But if you planned to purchase a data plan for the Xoom anyway, this deal might not be too shabby.

The Motorola Xoom will run on Google’s newest mobile operating system Android 3.0 “Honeycomb.” But according to Jha, his company plans to fully embrace Android across all its mobile devices especially now that Nokia has committed itself to Microsoft’s Windows Phone OS.

“I am as focused on Android as I ever have been,” Jha told reporters. “As a result of Nokia adopting Microsoft it’s possible that some of the other players concentrate on Android.”

The tablet market is heating up, with new releases being announced on a regular basis. But as we’ve mentioned before, Motorola’s Xoom is one of the few tablets that could, theoretically, compete with Apple’s iPad, which currently dominates tablet sales. Analysts believe tablet makers will collectively sell around 50 million tablets in 2011.

The Motorola Xoom will ship with Android 3.0 (codenamed Honeycomb) running on Nvidia's Tegra 2 processor, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, 32GB of onboard storage (expandable via SD), a 2-megapixel camera on the front, a 5-megapixel camera with dual LED flash on the back, a micro USB 2.0 port, HDMI out, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, as well as Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR. The 10.1-inch tablet has a 1280x800 display resolution. Battery life is said to peak at about 10 hours of video playback. The device will launch in Q1 2011 with 3G functionality, later upgradeable to LTE 4G, and will launch with a LTE 4G model in Q2.

Motorola's Atrix 4G Arrives Tuesday

Motorola's Atrix 4G Arrives Tuesday The smartphone of the future is coming on February 22. Motorola's Atrix 4G dual-core handset will officially launch on AT&T next Tuesday, according to a tweet from Motorola Mobility's official Twitter account. The Android-based device is an important landmark, because the Atrix 4G can function as a regular smartphone or can be hooked up to a keyboard and monitor for a desktop PC-like experience.

Display Motorola Atrix 4G
While it’s not quite as hi-res as the iPhone 4′s Retina display (960 x 640 pixels), the Atrix 4G’s qHD screen is very bright and crisp. Web pages displayed sharp images while hi-res YouTube videos possessed lots of brightness and vivid colors. Viewing angles are on a par with other big-screened devices such as the Evo 4G and the Droid X, with image quality deteriorating as you angle the display away.

When holding the Atrix 4G in portrait mode, microUSB and mini HDMI ports sit along the lower left side. On the right are volume controls, while on top is a headphone jack and a fingerprint reader that doubles as the power button. There’s no dedicated camera button. The fingerprint reader/power button is a little hard to press, but this does ward against accidental activation.

But while the device is definitely the smartphone to watch in 2011 the first-generation Atrix 4G has some serious downsides for the average user.

Atrix Specs
The Atrix 4G is packing two 1GHz processor cores for up to 2GHz of processing power, 1GB RAM, 16GB onboard memory, and a microSD card slot supporting up to 32GB storage for a maximum of 48GB storage.
The Atrix 4G has a 4-inch display, Android 2.2 (Froyo) with Motorola's MOTOBLUR overlay, 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR and HSPA+ cellular connectivit

Price Camera Sony A700

The Sony A700 is the second DSLR camera from Sony, a more complex model than the original A100 that is aimed at the prosumer photographer. The Sony A700 bears more than a passing resemblance to the Konica Minolta Maxxum / Dynax 7D DSLR, which is perhaps no surprise given that Sony effectively inherited Konica Minolta's camera business a couple of years ago.

The body itself is dust- and moisture-resistant, with an aluminum chassis and a magnesium outer shell. Weighing 1.75 pounds, the A700 feels solid and well made. Thanks to a deep indent on the grip beneath the ledge holding the shutter and a dial--much like the design of the Canon EOS 40D. The A700 also feels exceptionally comfortable and stable to hold. Like its Konica Minolta ancestors, the A700 implements a proprietary hot shoe. Though it doesn't really matter for flash units, which are proprietary as well, the odd connector may limit your choice of accessories that use the hot shoe as a dumb mount. Not a critical problem, but one to be aware of.

Operating the A700 is pretty straightforward. Since it lacks a monochrome display on the top, you configure settings via a combination of direct-access buttons and the LCD. A function button pulls up the Quick Nav interactive information display of all your current settings, which you navigate via a big, comfortable joystick. Only focus modes (single-shot, continuous, single/continuous autoselection, and manual) and the three metering modes (spot, evaluative, and center-weighted) have their own selection switches. As with all dSLRs of this class, you control shutter speed, aperture, exposure compensation, and program shift with dials.
features A700:
• 12.2 effective Megapixel Sony "Exmor" CMOS sensor with on-chip noise reduction
• Support for Minolta and Sony lenses that use the Alpha mount
• Super SteadyShot image stabilization system
• Rugged, weather resistant body
• Dust reduction system
• Ultra high resolution 3-inch LCD display
• 5 frame/second continuous shooting
• Fully adjustable Dynamic Range Optimizer; user can bracket for DRO as well
• 11-point center dual cross autofocus system
• Dual memory card slots (CF + MS Duo), with the former supporting UDMA cards
• HDMI output
One feature you won't find on the A700 is live view. Three months ago I don't think anyone would care, but with the introduction of the Canon EOS-40D, Nikon D300, and Panasonic DMC-L10, the A700 seems a bit out-of-place.

spesification Nokia E7

The Nokia E7 is a smartphone with slide-out QWERTY keyboard, full touchscreen, the new Symbian^3 operating system, and a feature list so extensive, you’ll find it hard to believe what Nokia have managed to cram into its small(ish!) dimensions.

As you can see, its QWERTY keyboard runs the full length of the phone and snaps out in a similar way to the ill-fated Nokia N97 of last year. The E7′s keyboard is much better, though, and the phone looks much cooler than its predecessor, too, as it’s based on Nokia’s new smartphone design, prominently shown on the Nokia N8.

Firstly, there's the 4-inch OLED screen to play with - it's big, high contrast and still seems to fit the overall chassis. The anodised silver frame (although it apparently comes in many colours) is as attractive as the N8, and the depth of the Nokia E7 is more palatable given there's a QWERTY keyboard underneath. The same connections are present with the E7 too, with an HDMI-out, 3.5mm headphone jack, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, although the camera is slightly less powerful at 8MP (but still with LED flash). In both portrait and landscape mode, the Nokia E7 fits nicely in the hand, although smaller palms might suffer somewhat - but that's the price you pay for a screen of this size.

The Daily iPad newspaper Price

The Daily iPad newspaper Price

"The Daily," the first news application written and designed specifically for the iPad, launched Wednesday morning -- and may turn decades of traditional publishing on its ear.

Written for and available solely on the Apple iPad, the revolutionary service was unveiled by News Corp. CEO Rupert Murdoch and Eddy Cue, Apple's vice president of Internet services, at the Guggenheim Museum in New York City at 11:00 a.m. It will go live in the Apple App Store at noon. It will feature a variety of new technologies that were previously unthinkable, Murdoch said at the unveiling.

Just minutes before the presentation, here are all the details of Murdoch's The Daily iPad newspaper, sent by Rupert himself. $40 will get you a subscription to 365 days of these contents:
• Over 100 pages of original news, life, entertainment, opinion and sports-every single day of the year
• Original video content
• A selection of articles read aloud
• 360 degree photos you can explore by swiping
• Immersive photography
• Interactive charts, info-graphics and clickable ‘hot spots'
• The option to save articles to read later
• Web-friendly versions of articles you can share via Twitter, Facebook and email
• In-app comments - including audio comments
• Your local weather
• Your favorite sports teams' scores, news and feeds
• Crossword and Sudoku puzzles

The subscription service will be "a new 'push' subscription feature from Apple, where iTunes automatically bills customers on a weekly or monthly basis, and a new edition shows up on customers' iPads every morning," AllThingsD reported.

Beyond the technical challenges, many questions are swirling around The Daily. Pundits and bloggers alike have wondered if the world is ready for an iPad-exclusive newspaper -- and if it even wants one.

The Lelo Mia Review

The Lelo Mia is quite simply everything you could want from a clitoral massager. It’s stylish, powerful, discreet and easy to use. I can honestly say that after using this I could quite easily go my entire life and never need to buy another clitoral massager again.

As I’m a naughty blogger the Lelo Mia was the obvious choice for me to pick. And I was more than willing to give the Mia a roadtest. OK, so any PC user can use this vibe, it simply draws power to charge the battery from the USB port, but we bloggers are the naughtiest PC users out there. Unless you know otherwise.

The Mia is for those people who are glued to their laptops. If you’re not answering emails, number-crunching or data chasing, chances are high that you’re eating lunch and killing time on your favourite social networking site. Up to 16% of you work from home with 25% occasionally working from home. What has any of this to do with the Mia? The Mia is a rechargeable mini-vibe, which uses your computer or laptop in order to charge. Small and discreet, it can easily be hidden in drawers, pockets, handbags and even comes with its own silk bag to complete the subterfuge. When switched on the Mia is very quiet, possibly quieter than you may be if you attempt to sneak it under your desk.

The Mia User Manual tells us that ‘The clitoris is the only feature of the human anatomy whose sole function is to convey messages of sensual pleasure. Use it wisely, often and with care.’ Obviously this toy is primarily marketed towards women, though you would have already guessed from how pink Mia is. The hard plastic body isn’t going to be to everyone’s taste, but if you’re a bit of a techno-junkie and you like quality, you’re going to love Mia.

Apple iPad Lounge v2.0 has finally announced its highly-anticipated iPad tablet. The device seems to be impressive, but it is far from ideal. The iPad seems to have a lot of limitations that were either conditioned by technology or implemented with a clear intention to address them in the second generation. Let’s see why the iPad is not perfect and how the iPad 2 could change that.

One of the most important shortcomings of Apple iPad is the absence of Adobe Flash support. Just like on the iPhone, one may still enjoy YouTube videos on the iPad, but it will be impossible to play flash games or navigate on web-sites that use flash in the menus. Considering that even some corporate sites use flash too extensively nowadays, this does seem to be a huge drawback for a device designed for the Internet. Perhaps, Adobe and ARM will finally enable flash on the ARM processor of the iPad, or Apple will have to somehow implement it on the next-generation iPad.

According to Tech Digest, the Apple iPad 2.0 is being developed right now and it will most likely “get an OLED overhaul.” This means, the 2.0 version of the Apple iPad will have a brighter screen than the current iPad, which uses LCD panels for its screen.

Digitimes Research senior analyst Mingchi Kuo is conservative about the idea of iPads with OLED panels. He pointed out that OLED panels' high price will still be the major obstacle for them to be adopted in the iPad
in 2011.

A must have for all the tech-savvy people; the iPhone has highly advanced technological features. It supports Wi-Fi and EDGE network for wireless data transfer from web. It operates on OS X operating system and supports Windows Vista Home Premium, Business, Enterprise, or Ultimate Edition; or Windows XP Home or Professional. It has a 2.0 mega pixel built in camera and supports varied audio and video formats. The iPhone also has an internal storage capacity of 8 GB.

The CEO of LG Electronics spoke in a bulletin about the future of OLED for the korean company.

My last challenge is to introduce OLED-Tv in to the market and the goal is that LG are the leading company for that amazing technology.

Mr. Young Soo Kwon says that OLED-TV can enter the mass market in 2013. LG plans to ramp up a 8 gen OLED production line for that goal. Only the 8 gen manufacturing line can produce cost effective OLED-Television devices. At the IFA-2010 LG show a new 3D 31 inch panel.

Following the successful work on a new $226 million arm of their manufacturing plant vice president of LG Display Jung Ho announced that the company are to triple OLED production by the end of 2013.

These won't just be concept pieces either, but retail sets at very respectable sizes. A 31 inch model is due to hit shops in Europe and the US before the year is out, while a 55 inch prototype is expected to be teased at either IFA 2011 or CES 2012.

Asahi Glass smartphone cover price and Review

Asahi Glass smartphone cover price and Review

Asahi Glass Co., Japan's largest glass maker, on Thursday unveiled a super-tough, scratch resistant cover for gadgets that it says is six times stronger than conventional glass.

Called "Dragontrail," the product represents Asahi's intensified ambitions to grab a chunk of the surging global market for smartphones and tablets. All those devices need a durable sheath to protect what's inside from the bumps, nicks and falls that inevitably come with use.

The biggest player in the market now is Corning Inc., which makes the much-heralded "Gorilla" glass.
The company also showed videos of tests it had done on the glass. It bent but didn’t break under 60kgs of weight and resisted the shock of a hammer strike in the videos.
Asahi Glass hopes Dragontrail will generate global revenue of at least 30 billion yen ($360 million) and about 30 percent market share next year.
The product is already in some devices, but the company said it could not reveal details about customers or when it signed its first deal.

Tough glass doesn’t just mean gadgets are less likely to suffer broken screens. Because the glass is tougher, manufacturers can get away with using thinner sheets and that helps products slim down and get lighter.

The glass will go up against Corning’s Gorilla glass, which boasts similar properties and has proved a hit with portable gadget makers. It’s already used in more than 225 mobile devices including cell phones, laptop and tablet PCs, and was recently selected by Sony for the front glass for its flat-panel LCD TVs, said Corning.

Asahi Glass has been developing Dragontrail for the last two years and the company has already begun supplying it to some electronics makers, but delayed its disclosure until Thursday. It declined to identify its customers.

Price Nintendo 3DS Launched in March

Nintendo’s 3D handheld console is the undoubted star of the E3 video game show here in Los Angeles this week, judging by the long lines of gamers at the Nintendo booth waiting to try one out.

While Apple has emerged as a new challenger, with the iPhone and iPod touch, to handheld consoles, the unique features of the 3DS look like giving Nintendo a significant and long-lasting advantage in mobile gaming.

Microsoft’s Kinect and Sony’s Move have been vying with the 3DS for attention at E3, but we already knew about the capabilities of the motion controllers coming from Microsoft and Sony. Details of the 3DS had been confined to a brief regulatory filing by the Japanese company in Tokyo that such a console would be released before the end of March next year.

The first thing that hits you is the screen. 3.5 inches wide, it fills you vision in a magnificent way. Make no mistake: Any bigger would be a distraction. We've just seen a special Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater demo, and we're blown away.

A slider on the right-hand side of the machine allows you to adjust the depth of perspective that you require. We begun in Metal Gear in a jungle area - and it took some customising to correct our field of vision. But once we did, the super-sharp splendour that fell out in front of us really was something to behold.

Robust, spiky foliage poked out of the ground and seemed to tickle the back of the DS screen. Meanwhile, arrows flung in our direction soared through the air towards us - from what seemed like 50 metres away.
Nintendo 3DS Release Date
Expected release date is Q1 2011
Nintendo 3DS Price
Price is expected between $150 – $200

blackberry storm 3 price

blackberry storm 3 price

It looks like Research in Motion is still working on their BlackBerry Storm franchise; after having released the Storm 2 last year, America's leading smartphone maker will be following up with a Storm 3 later this year and a Storm 4 in 2011. The Storm series, in their tablet touchscreen form factor, will be competing with the yet to be released BlackBerry Bold 9800 Slider, which uses a touchscreen that slides in portrait mold to reveal a keyboard.

The Storm 3 will be a multimedia and gaming device with RIM reportedly working with EA on bringing some gaming titles to the touchscreen tablet phone.

RIM is also said to be perfecting its SurePress touchscreen technology for the device. SurePress has been a polarizing technology for users as it is a different method of touch interaction, which requires an actual screen press--like a touchpad click--to make a selection.
Specs
• 1.2GHz processor
• 3.7-inch 800 x 480 capacitive display
• Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE
• Tri-band UMTS/HSPA
• 5-megapixel camera with 720p video recording
• 8GB eMMC (storage for apps and data), 512MB of RAM
• microSD slot
• Magnetometer
• Proximity sensor

As per Engadget, the estimated time of availability is rumored in Q4 this year. The handset is also rumored as a “Holiday Surprise” from RIM. There is no word on the pricing yet but we can speculate this handset to be around $ 200 with a bi-annual contract on some carriers.

Samsung WB700 Review and Feature

Samsung WB700 Review and Feature

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd, a global leader in digital media and digital convergence technologies, announced todaythe launch of the new WB700, the ultra-slim camera with an impressive 24X zoom function, capable of delivering superb quality images whether your subject is near or far.

The camera features a 24mm ultra-wide Schneider KREUZNACH lens to capture the perfect wide shot, as well as an outstanding 24X zoom function, made up of an 18X optical zoom and 1.3X Smart Zoom. The WB700 delivers sharp images with incredible detail in close up thanks to the camera’s 14 Megapixel (MP) CCD sensor. The flexibility of the WB700’s lens and zoom functions means that you can capture a broad landscape in the same 14MP detail as a bubbling brook in the distance.

Pocket superzooms are my favorite point-and-shoot cameras right now. I love having a camera with a big zoom that comfortably fits in my pocket. And the new Samsung WB700 crushes the competition – at least on paper. The only thing it’s missing is full 1920 x 1080 HD video and built-in GPS. The 18x zoom lens is the longest of all the pocket superzooms (the Fujifilm FinePix F300EXR has a 15x zoom lens). Factor in the truly pocketable body (most pocket superzooms will fit in a pocket but they’re a bit bulky), RAW shooting and manual exposure controls and the WB700 might qualify as point-and-shoot of the year for 2011. Of course we’ll have to wait and see what else is introduced at CES and through the rest of the year. And we need to use the WB700 to see if the actual image quality and performance live up to the promise of the specs. But Samsung has definitely made a statement with this camera and I can’t wait to get one in my hands.

Samsung WB700 Camera Features:

• 16-Megapixel; 1/2.33-inch square pixel CCD
• 18x optical zoom lens covers 24~432 mm (equivalent)
• 1.3x Digital Zoom (equates to 24x zoom)
• Dual Optical & Digital Image Stabilization
• Full Manual Mode (A/S/M Support)
• Smart Filter 2.0 / Smart Auto / Perfect Portrait System
• H.264 720p video recording
• HDMI Connectivity
• RAW file format supported
• SD/SDHC compatible
• Li-Ion Rechargeable Battery

The Panasonic DMC-GF2 Review

The Panasonic DMC-GF2 Review

When we awarded the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1 an Editors' Choice about a year ago, it was mostly because it fulfilled three of the four reasons I think the category exists: an interchangeable-lens camera (ILC), it provided a consumer-friendly compact size, faster than point-and-shoot performance, and the image-quality benefits of a large-ish Micro Four Thirds sensor.

Now there's a lot more competition: Olympus' PEN series is still around (but with sluggish performance), and Sony has come out with its sleekly designed and solidly performing NEX models. The biggest problem with a lot of these models, however, is price: They command the prices of entry-level dSLRs but don't deliver on the performance. The cheaper ILCs simply aren't compact enough. So I have to admit, I expected a little more with Panasonic's announcement of its GF1 update, the Lumix DMC-GF2. Though the sensor is the same resolution as before, it's the same newer version that's in the Lumix DMC-LX5.

Discussion of size is important in this market space, because in addition to image quality, this is where the battle lines are drawn. These cameras are designed to deliver the best image quality in the smallest volume. Technically, the Lumix GF2 is similar to its predecessor, with the same 12.1-megapixel sensor, but Panasonic says its Venus Engine FHD processor will improve noise performance across the ISO range, which is important when going up against APS-C sensors. What they've achieved in this important area will have to wait until we receive a production version, as all we've seen is a working prototype.

Size isn't the only component to the story, what's also interesting is what they had to do to achieve this size reduction, which includes moving many of the features that previously had a dial to the new touchscreen. Many of the G2's touchscreen features have been brought to the GF2, and many new ones were created to replace features like the Mode dial. At the same time, Panasonic added higher resolution video to the GF2, up to 1,920 x 1,080 at 60i in AVCHD compression.
