Samsung launches Blu-ray Review, Price,Feature,Spec

Samsung Blu-ray The app craze is spilling further into the world of home theaters, with Samsung launching an application store for select 2010 Blu-ray players, HDTVs and home theaters.

Samsung’s store is an upgrade to its existing Internet@TV platform, which launched last year as a strip of widgets running along the bottom of the television screen. These included Flickr, Yahoo and others. The new app store will include offerings from Accedo Broadband, AccuWeather.com, The Associated Press,,Blockbuster, Fashion TV, Netflix, Picasa, Pandora, Rovi, Travel Channel, Twitter, USA TODAY and Vudu. More apps will be added later this year.

But photos issued by the consumer electronics maker on Monday showed the Blu-ray Disc player to have a gently curved top and the piano black finish that is currently so popular with consumer electronics products.

It will be shown along with new home theater systems and big-screen TVs that can be hung on the wall. Samsung, like other TV makers, is developing thinner flat-panel TVs and at CES will also show new wall mounts that enable the panels to be placed closer to the wall for an overall lower profile.

Last in the series is the BD-C5900, which lacks the 1GB built-in storage capacity offered in the first 3D two models. The BD-C7900 is available for $399 (MSRP), the BD-C6900 will cost $279 (MSRP) and the BD-C5900 is priced at $229 (MSRP). However, you can find the Samsung BD-C7900 at Amazon and Best Buy right now and the other players are likely to follow in the near future.

MAX2669 GPS LNAs Review,Feature,Price

MAX2669 GPS LNAs Review,Feature,Price

The MAX2667/MAX2669 provide the best performance, smallest size, and lowest current consumption available in the market, making them the clear choice for smartphones, personal navigation devices (PNDs), and other battery-powered handheld devices.

Each provide different linearity options to suit system requirements. The MAX2669 (at 4.5 dBm) provides approximately 8 dBm better in-band and out-of-band IIP3 than the MAX2667 (at –3.5 dBm), for a mere 4.0 mA extra supply current.

In addition, the MAX2667 is optimized for a low operating supply current of 4 mA typ. When not in use, both LNAs have an optional logic-enabled shutdown mode that reduces supply current to less than 1 µA.

The MAX2667/MAX2669 operate from a 1.6V to 3.3V supply. Fully specified over the -40 degrees Celsius to +85 degrees Celsius extended temperature range, they are available in an ultra-small, 0.86mm x 1.26mm, 6-pin WLP. Prices start at $0.54 (1000-up, FOB USA). The MAX2667EVKIT and MAX2669EVKIT are also available for bench-level evaluation. Pricing for the EV kits is $110.00 (each, FOB USA).

iPad 2 Review,Product detail,Price

iPad 2 Review,Product detail,Price
The fact that Apple will launch a new iPad, the iPad 2 at some point in early 2011 is crystal clear to anyone following this impressive tablet business. Apple took the lead in this computer niche with a new product and it can’t afford to lose that lead so a product refresh will probably be due in Q1 2011.

The next-gen iPad might kill various competitors since everyone is launching a their first-gen tablets now and that’s one more reason for Apple to come out with the iPad 2 when rivals will only have launched their first Tab, PlayBook, or any other device.

In other words, the next iPad could have a smaller bezel--the black area around the screen, and it won't teeter-totter or slide around when you press on something along the edges.

MacOtakara says a more substantial change to the exterior will be the location of the speaker, which could be moved from the side of the unit to the back. Presumably, this could keep someone who is holding the device in either portrait or landscape mode less of a chance of blocking the speaker holes. MacOtakara also says this speaker would be wide range, which could offer more evenly distributed audio at off-angle viewing.

One other small tweak MacOtakara is reporting is a change in the location to the iPad's ambient light sensor, which is moving from the front of the unit to the back. This would be a fairly large departure in location given where Apple keeps it on the current iPad, as well as on iPhones, iPods, iMacs, and its MacBook Pro and Air lines.

Speakal Cool iPig Preview,Price,Feature

Speakal Cool iPig Preview,Price,Feature

We are no strangers to Speakal’s adorable iPhone/iPod Speaker Docks. They have brought us the iPanda, iBoo, and iPig. Well today they have just launched the new Cool iPig. So what make this dock anymore special than the others, well for starters this pig looks bit more futuristic and it also is the first dock to respond to hand gestures and signs. The Cool Pig has built-in IR motion sensors, just place your hand in front of its face and it will start playing music, when you place your hand on the top of its left ear the volume will increase or place your hand in front of its nose and it will stop playing the music altogether.

The pigs snout has the controls for playing and pausing the tracks and those eyes are the speakers. The docking section on top of the Cool iPig will dock and charge the iPhone 4 and other iPhone devices as well as dockable iPods. The controls on top of the pig are motion sensing for volume and skipping tracks. The Cool iPig has an internal rechargeable battery and that battery can be removed. It will last for eight hours at a time so you can rock with your iPig outdoors away from an outlet.

The Cool iPig has a total power output of 23W and is a 2.1 speaker system with a sub and stereo speakers. The internal amp has 15W of power and the Cool iPig uses a bass reflex system. A wireless remote allows you to control the music on your iPhone from across the room. Other input sources can be used with the Cool iPig if they have a 3.5mm output. The introductory price for the Cool iPig is $149.99 and you can pre-order now with a promise of delivery before Christmas.

Super Talent USB 3.0 Virtual PC Preview,Price,Picture

Super Talent USB 3.0 Virtual PC Preview,Price,Picture

Super Talent today announced that they will begin offering Ceedo Personal with their USB 3.0 Express RAM CACHE flash drives. Ceedo Personal is a portable Windows environment that runs from a USB flash drive. It can transform a flash drive into a virtual PC.Using Ceedo, many standard Windows applications can now be made portable for use on any PC; making it possible for you to install, carry and run the same standard Windows applications that you already own and already know how to use.

We tried out the software on a couple of systems, having no issues on one, and a few quirks on the other. The quirky system needed a fiddle with security settings and some of the browser plug–ins disabled before the Ceedo Programs list would open. However, download tabs were greyed out, preventing us from installing anything from Ceedo’s application list. The fix is probably a simple one, but not something we’ve stumbled across to date. Just a heads up to check out the free 45 day trial here for compatibility and ease of use before you buy.

Each USB 3.0 Virtual PC drive includes the Ceedo Personal 4.0 and Backup & Restore bundle. With use of USB 3.0 interface and DRAM cache, Super Talent’s USB 3.0 Express RAM CACHE, combined with Ceedo, create a Windows Virtual PC environment that is FAST, flexible and totally portable.

The combination of the RAM Cache flash drive and Creedo makes using a virtual machine a snap and Super Talent figures that the offering is perfect for students that need to use a computer in a library or lab that is locked down preventing them from loading apps they want to run. The flash drive bundled with Creedo comes in three capacities including 16GB, 32GB, 64GB with prices of $79, $139, and $229.
