Price Apple iPad Lounge v2.0

Apple iPad Lounge v2.0 has finally announced its highly-anticipated iPad tablet. The device seems to be impressive, but it is far from ideal. The iPad seems to have a lot of limitations that were either conditioned by technology or implemented with a clear intention to address them in the second generation. Let’s see why the iPad is not perfect and how the iPad 2 could change that.

One of the most important shortcomings of Apple iPad is the absence of Adobe Flash support. Just like on the iPhone, one may still enjoy YouTube videos on the iPad, but it will be impossible to play flash games or navigate on web-sites that use flash in the menus. Considering that even some corporate sites use flash too extensively nowadays, this does seem to be a huge drawback for a device designed for the Internet. Perhaps, Adobe and ARM will finally enable flash on the ARM processor of the iPad, or Apple will have to somehow implement it on the next-generation iPad.

According to Tech Digest, the Apple iPad 2.0 is being developed right now and it will most likely “get an OLED overhaul.” This means, the 2.0 version of the Apple iPad will have a brighter screen than the current iPad, which uses LCD panels for its screen.

Digitimes Research senior analyst Mingchi Kuo is conservative about the idea of iPads with OLED panels. He pointed out that OLED panels' high price will still be the major obstacle for them to be adopted in the iPad
in 2011.

A must have for all the tech-savvy people; the iPhone has highly advanced technological features. It supports Wi-Fi and EDGE network for wireless data transfer from web. It operates on OS X operating system and supports Windows Vista Home Premium, Business, Enterprise, or Ultimate Edition; or Windows XP Home or Professional. It has a 2.0 mega pixel built in camera and supports varied audio and video formats. The iPhone also has an internal storage capacity of 8 GB.

LG plan OLED TV in 2013 Price list

The CEO of LG Electronics spoke in a bulletin about the future of OLED for the korean company.

My last challenge is to introduce OLED-Tv in to the market and the goal is that LG are the leading company for that amazing technology.

Mr. Young Soo Kwon says that OLED-TV can enter the mass market in 2013. LG plans to ramp up a 8 gen OLED production line for that goal. Only the 8 gen manufacturing line can produce cost effective OLED-Television devices. At the IFA-2010 LG show a new 3D 31 inch panel.

Following the successful work on a new $226 million arm of their manufacturing plant vice president of LG Display Jung Ho announced that the company are to triple OLED production by the end of 2013.

These won't just be concept pieces either, but retail sets at very respectable sizes. A 31 inch model is due to hit shops in Europe and the US before the year is out, while a 55 inch prototype is expected to be teased at either IFA 2011 or CES 2012.

Asahi Glass smartphone cover price and Review

Asahi Glass smartphone cover price and Review

Asahi Glass Co., Japan's largest glass maker, on Thursday unveiled a super-tough, scratch resistant cover for gadgets that it says is six times stronger than conventional glass.

Called "Dragontrail," the product represents Asahi's intensified ambitions to grab a chunk of the surging global market for smartphones and tablets. All those devices need a durable sheath to protect what's inside from the bumps, nicks and falls that inevitably come with use.

The biggest player in the market now is Corning Inc., which makes the much-heralded "Gorilla" glass.
The company also showed videos of tests it had done on the glass. It bent but didn’t break under 60kgs of weight and resisted the shock of a hammer strike in the videos.
Asahi Glass hopes Dragontrail will generate global revenue of at least 30 billion yen ($360 million) and about 30 percent market share next year.
The product is already in some devices, but the company said it could not reveal details about customers or when it signed its first deal.

Tough glass doesn’t just mean gadgets are less likely to suffer broken screens. Because the glass is tougher, manufacturers can get away with using thinner sheets and that helps products slim down and get lighter.

The glass will go up against Corning’s Gorilla glass, which boasts similar properties and has proved a hit with portable gadget makers. It’s already used in more than 225 mobile devices including cell phones, laptop and tablet PCs, and was recently selected by Sony for the front glass for its flat-panel LCD TVs, said Corning.

Asahi Glass has been developing Dragontrail for the last two years and the company has already begun supplying it to some electronics makers, but delayed its disclosure until Thursday. It declined to identify its customers.

Price Nintendo 3DS Launched in March

Nintendo’s 3D handheld console is the undoubted star of the E3 video game show here in Los Angeles this week, judging by the long lines of gamers at the Nintendo booth waiting to try one out.

While Apple has emerged as a new challenger, with the iPhone and iPod touch, to handheld consoles, the unique features of the 3DS look like giving Nintendo a significant and long-lasting advantage in mobile gaming.

Microsoft’s Kinect and Sony’s Move have been vying with the 3DS for attention at E3, but we already knew about the capabilities of the motion controllers coming from Microsoft and Sony. Details of the 3DS had been confined to a brief regulatory filing by the Japanese company in Tokyo that such a console would be released before the end of March next year.

The first thing that hits you is the screen. 3.5 inches wide, it fills you vision in a magnificent way. Make no mistake: Any bigger would be a distraction. We've just seen a special Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater demo, and we're blown away.

A slider on the right-hand side of the machine allows you to adjust the depth of perspective that you require. We begun in Metal Gear in a jungle area - and it took some customising to correct our field of vision. But once we did, the super-sharp splendour that fell out in front of us really was something to behold.

Robust, spiky foliage poked out of the ground and seemed to tickle the back of the DS screen. Meanwhile, arrows flung in our direction soared through the air towards us - from what seemed like 50 metres away.
Nintendo 3DS Release Date
Expected release date is Q1 2011
Nintendo 3DS Price
Price is expected between $150 – $200

blackberry storm 3 price

blackberry storm 3 price

It looks like Research in Motion is still working on their BlackBerry Storm franchise; after having released the Storm 2 last year, America's leading smartphone maker will be following up with a Storm 3 later this year and a Storm 4 in 2011. The Storm series, in their tablet touchscreen form factor, will be competing with the yet to be released BlackBerry Bold 9800 Slider, which uses a touchscreen that slides in portrait mold to reveal a keyboard.

The Storm 3 will be a multimedia and gaming device with RIM reportedly working with EA on bringing some gaming titles to the touchscreen tablet phone.

RIM is also said to be perfecting its SurePress touchscreen technology for the device. SurePress has been a polarizing technology for users as it is a different method of touch interaction, which requires an actual screen press--like a touchpad click--to make a selection.
Specs
• 1.2GHz processor
• 3.7-inch 800 x 480 capacitive display
• Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE
• Tri-band UMTS/HSPA
• 5-megapixel camera with 720p video recording
• 8GB eMMC (storage for apps and data), 512MB of RAM
• microSD slot
• Magnetometer
• Proximity sensor
• Accelerometer

As per Engadget, the estimated time of availability is rumored in Q4 this year. The handset is also rumored as a “Holiday Surprise” from RIM. There is no word on the pricing yet but we can speculate this handset to be around $ 200 with a bi-annual contract on some carriers.

Samsung WB700 Review and Feature

Samsung WB700 Review and Feature

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd, a global leader in digital media and digital convergence technologies, announced todaythe launch of the new WB700, the ultra-slim camera with an impressive 24X zoom function, capable of delivering superb quality images whether your subject is near or far.

The camera features a 24mm ultra-wide Schneider KREUZNACH lens to capture the perfect wide shot, as well as an outstanding 24X zoom function, made up of an 18X optical zoom and 1.3X Smart Zoom. The WB700 delivers sharp images with incredible detail in close up thanks to the camera’s 14 Megapixel (MP) CCD sensor. The flexibility of the WB700’s lens and zoom functions means that you can capture a broad landscape in the same 14MP detail as a bubbling brook in the distance.

Pocket superzooms are my favorite point-and-shoot cameras right now. I love having a camera with a big zoom that comfortably fits in my pocket. And the new Samsung WB700 crushes the competition – at least on paper. The only thing it’s missing is full 1920 x 1080 HD video and built-in GPS. The 18x zoom lens is the longest of all the pocket superzooms (the Fujifilm FinePix F300EXR has a 15x zoom lens). Factor in the truly pocketable body (most pocket superzooms will fit in a pocket but they’re a bit bulky), RAW shooting and manual exposure controls and the WB700 might qualify as point-and-shoot of the year for 2011. Of course we’ll have to wait and see what else is introduced at CES and through the rest of the year. And we need to use the WB700 to see if the actual image quality and performance live up to the promise of the specs. But Samsung has definitely made a statement with this camera and I can’t wait to get one in my hands.

Samsung WB700 Camera Features:

• 16-Megapixel; 1/2.33-inch square pixel CCD
• 18x optical zoom lens covers 24~432 mm (equivalent)
• 1.3x Digital Zoom (equates to 24x zoom)
• Dual Optical & Digital Image Stabilization
• Full Manual Mode (A/S/M Support)
• Smart Filter 2.0 / Smart Auto / Perfect Portrait System
• H.264 720p video recording
• HDMI Connectivity
• RAW file format supported
• SD/SDHC compatible
• Li-Ion Rechargeable Battery

The Panasonic DMC-GF2 Review

The Panasonic DMC-GF2 Review

When we awarded the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1 an Editors' Choice about a year ago, it was mostly because it fulfilled three of the four reasons I think the category exists: an interchangeable-lens camera (ILC), it provided a consumer-friendly compact size, faster than point-and-shoot performance, and the image-quality benefits of a large-ish Micro Four Thirds sensor.

Now there's a lot more competition: Olympus' PEN series is still around (but with sluggish performance), and Sony has come out with its sleekly designed and solidly performing NEX models. The biggest problem with a lot of these models, however, is price: They command the prices of entry-level dSLRs but don't deliver on the performance. The cheaper ILCs simply aren't compact enough. So I have to admit, I expected a little more with Panasonic's announcement of its GF1 update, the Lumix DMC-GF2. Though the sensor is the same resolution as before, it's the same newer version that's in the Lumix DMC-LX5.

Discussion of size is important in this market space, because in addition to image quality, this is where the battle lines are drawn. These cameras are designed to deliver the best image quality in the smallest volume. Technically, the Lumix GF2 is similar to its predecessor, with the same 12.1-megapixel sensor, but Panasonic says its Venus Engine FHD processor will improve noise performance across the ISO range, which is important when going up against APS-C sensors. What they've achieved in this important area will have to wait until we receive a production version, as all we've seen is a working prototype.

Size isn't the only component to the story, what's also interesting is what they had to do to achieve this size reduction, which includes moving many of the features that previously had a dial to the new touchscreen. Many of the G2's touchscreen features have been brought to the GF2, and many new ones were created to replace features like the Mode dial. At the same time, Panasonic added higher resolution video to the GF2, up to 1,920 x 1,080 at 60i in AVCHD compression.

iPad with Wi-Fi + 3G Price,Feature,Review

iPad with Wi-Fi + 3G Price,Feature,Review

The iPad 3G hit stores and customer mailboxes on Friday afternoon, but how does this slightly modified model compare against the original? Is the ability to use 3G worth the extra $130 per model? After spending the weekend using the iPad 3G and comparing it head-to-head with a Wi-Fi-only model, we hope we can help potential buyers figure out what iPad model might be best for them.

For my own comparison, I used a 32 GB Wi-Fi-only unit that was purchased on launch day and a 64 GB Wi-Fi+3G model that arrived Friday. Both units were connected via 802.11n to the same home network and my 3G tests were done in the area of my house that gives the best AT&T 3G s

Just as Apple sells separate iPod touch and iPhone devices, there are now two versions of the iPad: the original model released on April 3, 2010 “with Wi-Fi,” and now the iPad with Wi-Fi + 3G ($629-$829), which appeared in stores on April 30. Unlike the iPod touch and iPhone, which are currently differentiated by several significant features, the two iPad versions share virtually identical form factors and performance characteristics, but differ in three key ways: pricing, small cosmetic changes, and a few hardware tweaks. We discuss each of the differences in separate sections below, preserving the bulk of our original iPad with Wi-Fi review unchanged.

Worth mentioning up front is our belief that the 3G version of the iPad represents the future of the product line, and reflects an even more substantial undertaking by Apple in realizing its vision for mobile computing. The company has indeed negotiated an impressive deal with its U.S. partner AT&T for the iPad, albeit with serious issues that undercut the value of this model for iPhone 3G users, and call the wisdom of one of the pricing options into questions. Yet despite the reasons—primarily the lower cost—some users will surely prefer the iPad with Wi-Fi over the more expensive iPad with Wi-Fi + 3G, the value of anytime access to the Internet is particularly visible on a device with the iPad’s feature set. We’ll have more to say on this point in our final review.

Though the 3G modem is unlocked, Apple’s well-publicized choice of a microSIM rather than the more common GSM miniSIM means swapping the card between your phone and your iPad isn’t as straightforward as it could be. The AT&T microSIM Apple provide is preloaded, but you can trim down a miniSIM from another carrier to fit and slot that in instead. Meanwhile multiple carriers outside of the US have announced that they’ll be offering microSIMs for iPad use, so frequent travelers will likely be able to pick up a local card and use that instead of roaming. That’s useful, since international data is priced at $24.99 for 20MB, $59.99 for 50MB, $119.99 for 100MB or $199.99 for 200MB.

In the US, AT&T offer two packages (though of course you can also use the iPad 3G on WiFi only). $14.99 gets you 250MB of data and $29.99 gets you unlimited data; both plans are contract-free and you can activate and deactivate them as often as you want. For instance, if you wanted to have 3G service while travelling for two months out of the year, you could do so and pay $60 for unlimited data for that period. If you had to call AT&T every time that would quickly become tedious, so we’re glad to see Apple implementing an on-device data setup system which bills a credit card (as long as you have a regular, not PO Box, US mailing address) and gives warnings if your 250MB data allowance is running short. It’s worth noting that the 250MB expires 30 days after activation, so you can’t pay $14.99 for a chunk of data and then ration it out over several months.
