Various leaks on new handsets continue to circulate in cyberspace. The one that was warmly discussed is the emergence of two units new BlackBerry smartphone, which is named Dakota and Apollo. BGR online seems to be the first to get the technology leaked specifications, complete with a picture of the BlackBerry Dakota. If the leak is accurate, it looks like Dakota that looks like a quite reliable Bold by Research in Motion (RIM) are at a great war in the realm of smartphones.
Dakota is reportedly has a 5 megapixel camera with HD video capability as well as the lights flash. Other features include 4GB of storage, 768 MB RAM, 3G mobile hotspots, Wi-Fi, MicroUSB port, BlackBerry OS 6.1, 2.8-inch screen and a qwerty keyboard. That said, Dakota will have touch screen capabilities resemble to Blackberry Torch.
Beside Dakota, BlackBerry Apollo is touted as the latest BlackBerry Curve generation. BlackBerry Apollo specifications include BlackBerry OS 6.1, Wi Fi, GPS, 5MP camera with flash and 512MB RAM, and 11 mm thickness.
There is no official announcement from RIM regarding these two handsets. It is estimated, BlackBerry Dakota and Apollo will be introduced at Mobile World Congress (MWC) event, which took place in Barcelona next month.
