Zotac Zbox Mini PC Feature The Computex 2011 held in Taiwan showcased a lot of new and interesting devices that may be coming into the market sometime this year or the next. As manufacturers aim to capture public interest, they are providing some unique and interesting products that might just make it big by becoming small. You might get the idea if you get to see this new Zotac Zbox Mini PC.

However, I also have a deep appreciation for the Mac mini. There's a simple beauty in the mini's styling and an elegance to its minimalist approach to, well, everything. Apple's bite-sized Mac isn't a lot of computer, but it's enough for what most average users actually do with their systems on a day-to-day basis. The mini's modest components draw little power and get by with quiet cooling, and the whole thing can be squeezed into a svelte enclosure with a tiny footprint.

The fact is that most people only need a little bit of PC. Even in my own home, there are certain rooms in which I want an unobtrusive PC but don't require anything special. Filling those needs with a Mac mini is an expensive proposition when the base model starts at $700, though.

The dual-core CPU inside the new Mini-PC will be offered in two versions with one running at 1.2GHz and another that runs at a faster 1.6GHz speed. Both of the processors offer native 64-bit support and are pin-to-pin compatible with VIA Nano, C7, C7-M, and Eden processors for future upgrades. The little machine is very compact measuring in at 12 x 12 x 4cm. That compact size will make the machine very easy to fit into a cramped entertainment center.

Samsung SENS-240 Navigation Tablet Feature Samsung has a large line of Android smartphones and tablets that have turned out to be quite popular with Android users. The company has unveiled a new product today called the Hybrid Tablet with the SENS-240. The devices are made to work in coordination with one of the Samsung Android smartphones or tablets. The SENS-240 is a car navigation system that can connect to a normal phone using Bluetooth.

Everybody knows the drill if you want the convenience of being able to perform general purpose computing tasks while on the move, you go for a device such as a smartphone or a tablet. On the other hand, if you only want a device to perform a very specific task, you get a specialized gadget that does its designated task properly. However, leave it to Samsung to do what no other OEM has done: to release a tablet device that, instead of being the general purpose device it is intended to be, is designed to serve only one purpose: navigation. Such is the nature of Samsung's new SENS-240 navigational tablet, which was reportedly launched in Korea today.

The SENS-240 runs on a 1.43GHz processor, with a 7″ display (800 x 480), 256MB of RAM, it has a USB 2.0 port and an SD Card slot. It is capable of displaying 3D maps to help you get where you want to go, and when you don’t need GPS help or your backseat passengers want some entertainment, you can put some videos or music on to keep them happy.

Finally Samsung also allow your Smartphone or Tablet to be used as an “advance” remote control with a dedicated UI to control your SENS-240 video, audio and other features including SNS ones when you are not driving and what to relax while stuck in a traffic jam for example.danung kurniahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16958745771444583439noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2002359597079933889.post-33657804373888548752011-05-03T08:34:00.000-07:002011-05-03T08:34:03.831-07:00Logitech's 720p TV Cam review

Logitech's 720p TV Cam review |Logitech has outed its latest webcam, the Logitech TV Cam for Skype, a $149.99 peripheral that turns your Skype-supporting HDTV into a video conferencing system. Initially only supporting certain Panasonic 2011 sets, Logitech says it is working with other TV manufacturers to broaden support for the 720p HD video camera.

Forget chatting over the PC; that's totally 2010. With this, you'll be able to have the whole family gather 'round in order to speak to whoever is on the other end. You'll find Carl Zeiss optics, Logitech's Fluid Crystal technology, a 78-degree wide-angle lens and a pair of directional microphones. Once the Logitech TV Cam for Skype is plugged in, you can make TV-to-TV Skype calls, as well as TV-to-PC or Mac calls and vice versa. You can also make video calls from the Logitech TV Cam for Skype to select iPhone and smartphones with Skype mobile, but you'll need a broadband connection in your home to really take advantage. The accessory should ship this month for $149.99; definitely not cheap, but at least it's 720p.

“You shouldn’t have to wait for the holidays, a special occasion or summer vacation to see distant friends and family,” said Joerg Tewes, vice president and general manager of Logitech’s consumer video division. “We believe making a video call to loved ones should be easy and natural. We welcomed the opportunity to work closely with respected brands such as Panasonic and Skype to make it possible for more people in more households to connect with one another from the comfort of their living room.”

Logitech Vid HD takes on Skype The camera will work with a new calling client called Logitech Vid HD which will be featured as a channel on the new Revue set-top box, but will work with any Mac and PC running the program.
The camera, judging from pictures shot at the event, appears to be much larger than your average webcam and also has a neat little LED light which will inform users when they have missed a call.danung kurniahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16958745771444583439noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2002359597079933889.post-50035469827497586582011-05-02T08:25:00.001-07:002011-05-02T08:25:50.070-07:00RIM BlackBerry OS 7 Launching

China unveils space station this in 2020| China's been making its mark on the world for years, but there's still one massive piece of real estate where the country's citizens haven't hung their ubiquitous red flag: space. The China Manned Space Engineering Office hopes to change that within the next decade, however, unveiling a model of its first space station on Monday.

Officials have asked the public to suggest names and symbols for the unit and for a cargo spacecraft that will serve it.Professor Jiang Guohua, from the China Astronaut Research and Training Centre, said the facility would be designed to last for around a decade and support three astronauts working on microgravity science, space radiation biology and astronomy.

China’s rendezvous and docking (RVD) project is the next goal of China’s manned space program, said Jiang Guohua, a professor and chief engineer at the China Astronaut Research and Training Center in Beijing.

Jiang outlined China’s space station efforts here at the 15th annual International Space University symposium, titled The International Space Station: Maximizing the Return from Extended Operations.

The Tiangong design is designed for short tasks or limited overnight stays in a pressurized shirtsleeve environment, while the heavier Chinese stations planned for several years from now will be for longer term habitation.
In addition to the manned program, the Chinese unmanned program has also reached a major milestone with the Chang'e lunar orbiter.

in 2010-2011, before the rover and sample return missions are flown a Chinese-technology mission may be sent to the Moon to further demonstrate landing technologies. But the Chinese were not clear on whether it would go all the way to the surface.danung kurniahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16958745771444583439noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2002359597079933889.post-46393893143154153592011-04-26T08:43:00.000-07:002011-04-26T08:43:14.385-07:00Nexus S 4G Price $200

Nexus S 4G Price $200 | Earlier this year, Samsung and Google launched the first ever phone running Gingerbread, known as Nexus S. You've been able to pre-order the Sprint-ified version of the Nexus S for a good while now, but it's always good to add a concrete date for the end of the anticipation and the beginning of the Android 2.3 fun. That date has now been officially marked as May 8th.

Starting off with the dimensions, the HTC Evo 3D comes in a little larger and weighs more (170g vs 130g) than the Nexus S 4G. This could be due to its larger display and the 3D hardware (has dual-cameras on the rear). Design wise however it has an elegant metal body compared to the more plastic looking Sprint Nexus S 4G.
Moving on to the display, the HTC EVO 3D packs a 4.3-inch 540x960 SLCD versus the Nexus S with a smaller 4-inch 480x800 Super AMOLED.

Both are capacitive but the HTC Evo 3D packs a 3D capable Parallax barrier. Now the Super AMOLED display on the Nexus S 4G is reportedly better when it comes to displaying deeper blacks and is more battery friendly (but the HTC EVO 3D tries to compensate for needing the extra juice by stuffing in a larger battery i.e. 1730mAh vs 1500mAh).

As the name implies, this phone also has Sprint's 4G WiMAX, which should give the phone download speeds of 3-8Mbps in about a third of the United States. The phone also works on Sprint's 3G CDMA network and has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, working as a 3G or 4G mobile hotspot for up to five devices. There's 16GB of memory on board.

Sprint's press release for the Nexus S also heavily promotes Google Voice, Google's system for using one phone number across multiple devices and the Web.

This version of the Nexus S will run on Sprint’s WiMax 4G network, and will cost $200 with a two-year contract and Sprint’s “Everything Data” subscription plan. The phone is currently available for pre-order at Best Buy stores only.danung kurniahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16958745771444583439noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2002359597079933889.post-82152636150527690912011-04-25T09:08:00.000-07:002011-04-25T09:08:43.366-07:00Nintendo launch Wii Successor For 2012

Today in Japan, Nintendo confirmed the upcoming release of the Wii's successor. The still-unnamed console will be revealed at this year's E3 gaming expo in Los Angeles in June. The new console will go on sale in 2012, said Nintendo in an official statement.

As of March, Nintendo has sold 86.01 million Wiis since 2006 when the console was launched. However, in 2010 the company sold only 15.1 million Wiis globally -- a 25% drop from 2009 when it sold 20.1 million units.

The news comes from the company's Japanese investor relations website, following months of speculation and supposed information leaks. The most recent of which, the "Screen Stream" controllers, would have players viewing a quarter of a 1080p display on their controller for an improved multiplayer experience. Other rumours include a price point of $400, support for 1080p and stereoscopic 3D, and graphics surpassing that of the Xbox 360 and PS3. Graphical capabilities have long been considered a weak point of the Wii, so this rumour comes as no surprise.

Speculation surrounding the new console has been scattershot at best. Some say it will be named the Stream. Some say it will have a triple-core PowerPC CPU. Some say it will natively output 1080p video. Some say its controllers will have their own screens, and will be able to emulate consoles. For all we know, it could be called the Stig (though I may be thinking of Top Gear in that case).

The company noted that a tough comparison to its December 2009 record U.S. sales were a primary reason for the year-on-year decline in revenues, as well as the appreciation of the yen and the price reduction of the Nintendo DS during the fiscal year.

Dual-core processor with 1 GHz allows you to run Android 2.2 Froyo with good speed, and it can soon be upgraded to Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
The LG U will release the smartphone with starting price at 55, 000 Won with the plan Smart Plan 55 and get 300 minutes talk, 300 SMS, and real unlimited data plan.
AT&T Novatel MiFi 2372 Review creates a WiFi hotspot where and when you need it. Get work done at home, in the car or camper, or at the ballgame. The Novatel MiFi 2372 lets you surf wirelessly on your laptop or WiFi enabled device anywhere a cellular connection is available. With speeds equivalant to a broadband connection available at the touch of a button, you can download files, watch videos, or play games just as if you were actually at home or the office.

The Novatel MiFi 2372 lets you keep important files backed up and ready with a built in microSDHC slot capable up to 16GB.

Welcome to the MiFi revolution, AT&T. Seemingly sick of being left behind by its competition, AT&T has introduced its customers to the wonders of MiFi, a mobile hotspot reminiscient of a hockey puck that allows you to connect up to 5 devices wirelessly to AT&T’s data network all at once.
All of this may seem laughable, considering 2 other MiFi devices were announced at CES a few weeks ago that offer access to 4G speeds on both Sprint’s and Verizon’s networks; the brand-new AT&T MiFi, also known as the Novatel 2372, is only capable of HSDPA 7.2 Mbps speeds.

The MiFi DLNA Server enables seamless access to digital content on DLNA-compatible DVD and Blu-ray players, game consoles, televisions, tablets, mobile devices, computers, audio video systems, digital frames, home theater devices and more. The MiFi DLNA server makes it easy to share both user-generated and syndicated digital content without complicated configuration and without having to copy, move and synch media files on multiple devices.According to ABI Research there were more than 440 million DLNA Certified devices already installed in users’ homes at the end of 2010. ABI Research estimates there will be nearly two billion DLNA Certified devices in homes worldwide by 2014.
The new Sony's MDR-DS6500 wireless headphones from Sony gives TV programmes, movies on Blu-ray Disc/DVD and PLAYSTATION 3 games the soundtrack they deserve.

Exclusive to Sony, Virtualphones Technology (VPT) reproduces the soundstage of multi-channel speakers to create an immersive acoustic space. Even if you’re listening to a stereo 2ch or 5.1 channel programme, VPT builds a virtual 7.1 channel soundstage that stretches ‘behind and beyond’ the screen. There’s also a choice of selectable surround sound modes to optimise listening for movies, gaming or speech.

The MDR-DS6500 setup offers up a slew of surround sound modes, including Dolby Digital, Sony's Virtualphones Technology, a 100-meter (330-foot) operating range, and automatic tuning. Sony's also promising 20 hours of listening for every three hours the things spend on their charging dock.

All-digital wireless transmission resists noise and interference from other devices in the home. Automatic tuning switches seamlessly between RF channels to optimise signal reception at all times, with no glitches or drop-outs.
Aside from superb audio quality, the MDR-DS6500 is beautifully easy to use. Just connect the headphone’s processing unit to any multi-channel source and enjoy an immersive, 3D listening experience.
Nokia W7 and W8 Feature Nokia made a short appearance at MIX'11 yesterday and with the increased enthusiasm Marco Argenti (head of developer experience at Nokia) showed, it would seem that Nokia are really steaming ahead with the planning and early development stages of their WP7 adoption.

International mobile phone botherer Eldar Mrtazin has had a quick bit of hands on time with the two prototype handsets, the Nokia W7 and Nokia W8. The W7 is apparently based on the Nokia X7 hardware, while the W8 is essentially a Nokia N8 body with Windows Phone software.

The W7 is thought to be the first handset to be available and is currently being used for in-house development. It is also claimed this will have an 8-megapixel shooter with autofocus and flash. Eldar reckons the W7 reminded him of the HTC Mozart, and without out much change to the OS.

He also claims that Nokia were planning around a dozen Windows Phone handsets for launch in 2012, but there is plenty of time for this to increase. Murtazin has also commented that Nokia plans are changing each week. The W8 which is loosely based on the N8 will feature a 12-megapixel camera.

The third model that is under development will have a QWERTY keyboard slider, a touchscreen and a metal shell. Very little else is known about this device. Finally, there will also be a fourth model that will be a cheaper version of the W7. This will be a budget or entry level phone that will have similar specs as the W7, but made with lower quality materials.danung kurniahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16958745771444583439noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2002359597079933889.post-18725624038014031552011-04-12T09:43:00.000-07:002011-04-12T09:43:37.246-07:00HTC Sensation 3.0 UI and Android 2.3.3 Review

HTC Sensation comes with a fresh serving of Android 2.3 Gingerbread, but it's all about the HTC Sense UI version 3.0 with a touch of refinement and functionality straight from the lock screen. You can choose between a number of lock screen options such as weather updates, quick access to apps and a handful of clock widgets. A 1.2GHz Qualcomm dual-core chipset supports the nice 3D-like transitions in the menu, all carrying resemblance to the ones on the HTC Flyer tablet.

The HTC Sensation features HSPA/WCDMA connectivity, and also Bluetooth 3.0 and 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, plus A-GPS, a gyro sensor, G-sensor, a proximity sensor and a digital compass. It comes with two cameras, a VGA camera on the front for video chat and an 8 megapixel camera on the back with built in autofocus and a dual LED flash.

The unibody sculpting of the device is in keeping with a number of other handsets in the HTC range - it's most reminiscent of the Mozart, with the multiple section feel on the back. The whole rear actually detaches leaving only the battery and the screen together, with the antennas all plugged into the battery cover.

The HTC Sensation weighs a shade under 150g, which is pretty hefty by today's standards given that a number of handsets push more towards the 110-120g level. It's also a little thicker at 11.3mm than the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S2 (at 8.7mm) and the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc (at 8.5mm), but given the rounded edges, it's not much of a problem.

The HTC Sensation is a smartphone that is built from the ground up for a sophisticated, evolved multimedia experience. The 4.3″ widescreen display means that users can watch movies like they were meant to be seen – in their full cinematic glory, with no cropping or letterboxing. The HTC Sensation is also the first smartphone to feature HTC Watch – an application and service that puts an entire library of the latest, premium movies and TV shows right at your fingertips, letting people discover the latest video content in an easy and visually engaging way.danung kurniahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16958745771444583439noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2002359597079933889.post-10981988822669526932011-04-07T08:47:00.000-07:002011-04-07T08:47:40.361-07:00T-Mobile G2X Price $200

T-Mobile G2x is rumored to be the American brother of the LG Optimus 2X. There probably won't be much difference between the LG Optimus 2X and the T-Mobile G2x. Both should have Tegra 2 dual-processors, 1.3 and 8MP front and rear facing cameras respectively, with HD 1080p video capture.

The G2x is T-Mobile’s version of the LG Optimus 2X, so it features the same exact hardware as the global version. Highlights of the G2x include a Tegra 2 mobile processor with dual-core CPU, 4-inch WVGA display, 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash and autofocus, front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera, 8 GB internal storage, 512 MB RAM, and support for T-Mobile’s 4G HSPA+ network.

The G2x also actually mirrors its interface out its HDMI port, which could be very exciting. Most phones with TV out ports restrict them to only a few apps, either out of lazy programming or because content owners are terrified about letting you play Netflix from your phone onto your TV. The G2x doesn't play Netflix - no Android phone does - but T-Mobile told me it will stream games, Web pages, and its full UI over onto a TV. Tragically, content-owner restrictions are still possible here - T-Mobile's streaming "T-Mobile TV" service is forbidden from showing on TVs.
Sadly, neither device is 4G.

Both are HSPA+ 14.4, a sort of intermediate level between 3G and 4G. Confusingly, T-Mobile calls both devices 4G, but they've also said that networks slower than HSPA+ 21 aren't 4G. I'm going to stick on the "not 4G" side of this debate and say that I got download speeds around 3-4Mbps in quick speed tests of the two devices.danung kurniahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16958745771444583439noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2002359597079933889.post-68056852132883689642011-04-06T10:29:00.000-07:002011-04-06T10:29:43.246-07:00Digital Camera Nikon D5100 deals

Digital Camera Nikon D5100 deals has recently introduced its latest midrange DSLR, making it ideal for the aspiring photographers who want to let go of their beginner cameras. The Nikon D5100 is an updated version of the popular D5000, featuring a 16.2-megapixel sensor, a 3-inch flipout LCD screen, 1080p video recording at both 30 and 24 fps with auto-focus, ISO settings from 100 to 6400, and an 18-105mm lens.

Nikon went Canon on us and tossed a 3-inch Vari-angle LCD screen on the new D5100. We're fans of the Vari-angle persuasion, and the D5100's flexible monitor will offer 921,000 pixels and a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, which matches the D7000. The Nikon D5100 actually has a leg up over the Nikon D7000 because of this versatile screen, though the D7000 has 100% viewfinder coverage while the D5100 hangs around the 96-97% range. The Nikon D5100 is definitely more compact than the D7000 and does not feature as many external controls.

Although the Nikon D5100 will ship with the AF-S DX Zoom-NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR lens if you opt for the kit, the camera body is compatible with all NIKKOR AF-S lenses, or any lens with F mounts. Nikon also unleashed the ME-1 microphone, which can mount on the D5100's hot shoe and connect via the 3.5mm Mic jack. The ME-1 will retail for $180, so we hope its sound quality is a significant boost over Nikon's built-in microphones.
Android Honeycomb tablets is coming on in leaps and bounds, and not just in the smartphone world, where it's quickly becoming the OS of choice for the discerning mobile fanatic. Google isn't satisfied though it will stop at nothing short of total Android domination, and it wants its classy operating system to take over the tablet world too.

Android 3.0 builds on the things people love most about Android refined multitasking, rich notifications, Home screen customization, widgets, and more and transforms them with a vibrant, 3D experience and deeper interactivity, making them familiar but even better than before.
The new UI brings fresh paradigms for interaction, navigation, and customization and makes them available to all applications — even those built for earlier versions of the platform. Applications written for Android 3.0 are able to use an extended set of UI objects, powerful graphics, and media capabilities to engage users in new ways.
The Nokia Astound Launch Price $79.99 also known as the Nokia C7, could be T-Mobile's best feature phone. Never mind that it's a smartphone; it makes more sense if you ignore that it's a smartphone. The phone appears to have a great camera, terrific GPS, a pretty good music player and just enough apps that you'll be able to find some games you like.

Today, both companies announced that the Nokia Astound will be available from T-Mobile starting April 6 for $79.99 with a two-year contract. The Astound is basically a rebranded version of the C7, which was introduced back in October 2010, and features the same sleek design, a 3.5-inch AMOLED touch screen, a rear-facing 8-megapixel camera capable of 720p HD video capture, and a front-facing camera for video calls.

The Astound sports an 8-megapixel camera with HD video capture, a 3.5-inch AMOLED display, and 8GB of memory. Note: Out of all the phones I review, I still hold that Nokia phones have some of the best cameras. I didn't really get a chance to play with the Astound's snapper other than a few pictures in a dark bar, but what I shot looked pretty decent.

T-Mobile customers will have access to the world’s most comprehensive location experience, Ovi Maps, with free turn-by-turn drive and walk navigation in almost 100 countries worldwide and a cool app within called ‘Own Voice’ which lets you personalize that nagging voice telling you where to go! And let’s not forget the real-time traffic information, safety camera alerts, speed limit warnings and visibility of parking and service stations that can help get you to your destination smoothly.
The Sony Ericsson Feature marketing gurus renamed it the Xperia Play when it finally went official at MWC this year, but the PlayStation connection remains as strong as ever. Aside from the D-pad, iconic game keys, and two touchpads, this device comes with a little app named PlayStation Pocket, which will be serving up dollops of classic PlayStation One gaming to all those with a taste for it.

The Xperia Play is powered by Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It features a slide-out panel containing the Sony gaming D-pad (for in-game direction control) on the left side, the four symbol-etched game control buttons on the right, and a set of circular touchpads in the middle, which act like analog joysticks for operating certain games. The phone packs a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, and the display is a 4-inch Bravia (480 by 854 pixels FWVGA) touchscreen with an Adreno GPU graphics processor inside.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play looks like a really nifty mobile that will deliver some serious gaming kicks. Our main reservation is that the slide-out keyboard makes the phone slightly bulky. But we're not too worried -- it's still a fairly light and portable phone. We also think the Play's success will be largely dependent on the games available -- it needs some really killer titles to give it that must-have quality.

The arrival of PlayStation Suite means there will undoubtedly be a few more gaming-based phones from Sony Ericsson in the next year or so. That slightly takes the sheen off the Play -- you might be wise to hold off and see if Sony releases some other incredible device right after the Play. Nevertheless, as Sony Ericsson's first proper foray into the mobile-gaming market, the Play looks very promising.danung kurniahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16958745771444583439noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2002359597079933889.post-65142829283387944072011-03-25T10:30:00.000-07:002011-03-25T10:30:34.047-07:00Aircell airborne smartphone Review

Samsung prices 950 Series 3DTVs displays from Samsung, from their pre-CES tease where we were first told they were TVs, then monitors, then it turned out they were monitors with optional TV tuners through their official launch and now to their first pricing and availability. South Korea is the unsurprising debut market for the 950 and 750 Series, both 27-inchers, discernible by their design, which in the 950's case is asymmetric and in the 750's is all about the thin bezel. With built-in Ethernet connection and wireless-ready capabilities, the 2010 Samsung 3D TV lineup is ready to meet the growing consumer demand for “content without borders.”

The upgraded Internet@TV feature now includes Samsung Apps with an expanded, easy to navigate selection of content and applications from leading services like The Associated Press, Blockbuster, Fashion TV, Netflix and YouTube amongst others. Applications can be downloaded and viewed all while watching TV.

The AllShare feature in the Samsung 3D TVs allows users to wirelessly connect their TV with compatible mobile devices which means that users can share movies, photos and music through a single device – the Samsung 3D TV. . the 27TA950 reportedly costs 890,000 KRW (nearly $800) whereas the 27TA750 is an 840,000 KRW outlay (just over $750). Not exactly value models, but those prices will likely change when the pair go international at some point later this month.danung kurniahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16958745771444583439noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2002359597079933889.post-8416149434335653252011-02-26T10:14:00.000-08:002011-02-26T10:14:57.354-08:00Review Windows Phone new UI and Xbox games

Review Windows Phone new UI and Xbox games In search for feedback on its momentous decision to dump Symbian in favor of Windows Phone, Nokia has put up the above poll on its Conversations website canvassing opinions about what users anticipate most out of the new deal.

While the New Xbox Experience provides a pleasant enough front-end for gaming--the Xbox 360 is still a game console, after all--much of the new functionality seems to be focused on non-gaming entertainment. The UI offers Netflix instant streaming for subscribers of that service, virtual parties with up to seven friends, customizable and cartoonish avatars that represent your online persona, and access to over 12,000 movies and TV shows via Xbox Live Marketplace.

The new avatars borrow heavily from the Mii characters in Nintendo's popular Wii console, which lacks the hardware muscle of the 360 but has outsold the competition at an alarming rate. For example, Microsoft is touting that it will sell 25 million Xbox 360s by the end of 2008, a number that outperforms total sales of the first generation Xbox. But Nintendo sold 35 million Wiis by the end of September, and it's been on the market for a year less than the 360.danung kurniahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16958745771444583439noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2002359597079933889.post-42430331377142748952011-02-25T09:33:00.000-08:002011-02-25T09:33:14.565-08:00Price Sony PSP dips down to $130Price Sony PSP dips down to $130
The full SDK for Android 3.0 is available to developers and now they can start making apps for the tablet-oriented OS. The new APIs are ready and integrated and the SDK Tools are now at version r13.

The APIs are final, and the developers are free to create apps targeting Honeycomb and publish them on the Android Market.

The SDK comes just in time as one of the first Android 3.0-sporting tablets, the Motorola Xoom, hits stores tomorrow. It may not have Flash just yet, but at least users will be able to enjoy some new, Android 3.0-specific apps on their shiny new tablet.

New connectivity options include the ability to sync media files with a desktop computer or USB-connected camera. Users will also be able to connect a full keyboard either by USB or Bluetooth. Devices can now share network connections with the new Bluetooth tethering support.

Most of the native Android apps have received updates as well. The Browser now support the “incognito” mode found in Chrome, the Camera app has been redesigned to take advantage of the larger screen, Contacts now features a new two-pane UI to make organization easier, and the Email app also has a new two-pane UI to make things more efficient.

Developer features available in Android 3.0 include a new UI Framework for creating tablet apps, high-performance 2D and 3D graphics, support for multicore processor architectures, rich multimedia and connectivity, and enhancements for enterprise.danung kurniahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16958745771444583439noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2002359597079933889.post-69080067540522520522011-02-22T08:45:00.000-08:002011-02-22T08:45:23.908-08:00Verizon Motorola Xoom Price at $600Verizon Motorola Xoom Price at $600
Of course, it means you’ll have to pay at least $20 per month for 1G of 3G data, which increases the overall cost considerably. But if you planned to purchase a data plan for the Xoom anyway, this deal might not be too shabby.
The Motorola Xoom will run on Google’s newest mobile operating system Android 3.0 “Honeycomb.” But according to Jha, his company plans to fully embrace Android across all its mobile devices especially now that Nokia has committed itself to Microsoft’s Windows Phone OS.

“I am as focused on Android as I ever have been,” Jha told reporters. “As a result of Nokia adopting Microsoft it’s possible that some of the other players concentrate on Android.”

The tablet market is heating up, with new releases being announced on a regular basis. But as we’ve mentioned before, Motorola’s Xoom is one of the few tablets that could, theoretically, compete with Apple’s iPad, which currently dominates tablet sales. Analysts believe tablet makers will collectively sell around 50 million tablets in 2011.

The Motorola Xoom will ship with Android 3.0 (codenamed Honeycomb) running on Nvidia's Tegra 2 processor, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, 32GB of onboard storage (expandable via SD), a 2-megapixel camera on the front, a 5-megapixel camera with dual LED flash on the back, a micro USB 2.0 port, HDMI out, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, as well as Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR. The 10.1-inch tablet has a 1280x800 display resolution. Battery life is said to peak at about 10 hours of video playback. The device will launch in Q1 2011 with 3G functionality, later upgradeable to LTE 4G, and will launch with a LTE 4G model in Q2.danung kurniahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16958745771444583439noreply@blogger.com
