SPESIFIKASI Netbook AMD | Fusion Meluncur Tahun Depan

Netbook is equipped with a hybrid chip AMD Fusion series rolled immediately ascertained at the beginning of next year. AMD claims the new chip will make a netbook is more power saving.

Vice President of Design Engineering, AMD, Dina McKinney mentioned, the netbook will be shipped with the chip code-named Ontario embedded therein. Ontario has a CPU-based Bobcat, which is a low power architecture of AMD's new.

"Chip-based Bobcat designed specifically for use on netbooks and ultraportable laptops that will consume less power," McKinney said, as quoted from PC Advisor, Wednesday (08/25/2010).

McKinney did not mention much power is drawn chip Ontario, but observed, Bobcat CPU power draw of less than 1 watt.

Ontario is part of a family of chips that combine AMD's Fusion series central processing units and graphical data into a single piece of silicon.

In Ontario, AMD is trying to align themselves in competition with Intel in the netbook market. As is known, the chip market dominated by the Intel Atom netbooks. Just this week, the same number of PC vendors hawking their netbook that carries the latest Intel Atom processor dual core.
