SPESIFIKASI Prosesor Sandy Bridge

SPESIFIKASI Prosesor Sandy Bridge
Intel has officially revealed the latest generation of processors, known as Sandy Bridge code. For assembled computer devotee, select Intel-based systems will be even more confusing.

Latest Sandy Bridge architecture, use the LGA-1155 socket. The different Socket LGA-1366 socket, at the beginning of Core i7, LGA-1156 and the other core levels.

Not just for assemblers, end users can 'reel' when thinking about updgrade to their system. Users can not just replace the processor, but it should replace the motherboard too.

As quoted from TheRegister, Tuesday (09/14/2010), Sandy Bridge has been officially revealed at the Intel Developer Forum 2010 in San Francisco.

Here are some points about Sandy Bridge:

* Sandy Bridge manufacturing process is 32 nanometers
* Graphics processor (GPU) in the Sandy Bridge also been using 32nm, which is different from Westmere 45nm GPU it still
* Covered in Sandy Bridge is the Memory Controller, a dedicated video transcoder and 256-bit SIMD named AVX
* AVX, short for Advanced Vector Extensions, used to process data about digital media files
* Sandy Bridge System 'consists' of three parts: a multiple execution unit (main processor), a media-processing unit (for decoding and encoding video) and 3D units of processing (for 3D graphics).
* Turbo Boost on Sandy Bridge can be done on the CPU or GPU separately.
